Midday Transactions
Oaxaca, Mexico
A frame split by glass, steel, and a patterned curtain. On the street, a driver waits with an arm resting casually on the door – a quiet moment of stillness in a silver car. But just behind the vehicle, a hidden interaction unfolds in the shadows. Through a gap in the fabric of “El Buen Gusto”, two hands reach out, suspended mid-gesture. We don’t see their faces, only the silent, expressive language of a transaction or a conversation masked by the midday glare. It’s a brilliant slice of street life where the ordinary and the mysterious sit side by side.
