“Brad and I are a same sex couple with no ties to Scotland so naturally we’re forcing 40 gays and their poor families to spend 3 days as our captive audience in a massive house in Ayrshire. From roaring 20s Clue parties to unathletic attempts at Highland games we just hope to have fun and in the middle of it say I do without fanfare.”
Our favourite thing about our “job” (aside from the people) is the variety of every wedding. The ideas that our couples come up with are amazing and we are always blown away by what we get to photograph! Brad and Pedja’s message naturally peaked our excitement levels immediately; highland games and a murder mystery sounded like something we just had to be a part of it so it was with a little relief that Brad and Pedja felt the same about us and booked!
Their wedding took place at The Blair House, Blair Estate, a gorgeous Scottish castle in Dalry, Ayrshire and when we arrived we were greeted by all of the friends and family as well as Brad and Pedja themselves. The Highland games were so great, everyone absolutely threw themselves into every activity and it was a lot of fun and with four activities happening simultaneously it kept us both very busy capturing every element! The interactive murder mystery was fabulous and, whilst we can’t share the event itself as we wouldn’t want to ruin the surprise for others, we can share the moments in-between the action which is always our absolute favourite part; people being people and showing their characters… just this time dressed in roaring 1920’s splendour!
Brad and Pedja’s wedding really showed you don’t need to follow any rules; as long as you have your people that’s all you need.
It was an honour to be a part of the celebrations, below are just a few of our favourites.
Nothing Posed. Nothing Staged. Just Real Moments.
Stay in The Moment.
