“Thank you so much for the slideshow and the photos. They are so incredible and you have caught so many amazing moments.” – Sara & Sam
Stories within Frames // Broughton Hall Eden Wedding Photography, Sara & Sam
One thing we always try to do in our photography whether at weddings or on the streets is to create imagery with more than one layer and, where possible, more than one story within a single frame. We like to try and create depth to the photograph, drawing the viewer from background to foreground across the width of the frame, filling the image with multiple elements in between.
For Sara & Sam’s stunning wedding at Broughton Hall we challenged ourselves to put together a blog post focussed almost entirely on this type of imagery. Not necessarily focussed on the central action or characters but also on the reactions, interactions and in-between moments, examining the subtle unspoken relationship between the photographer and the subject along the way.
Lucky for us it was a day filled with great moments and plenty of family and friends having the time of their lives, not to mention the gorgeous bride and groom themselves! Sara’s veil was a work of art in itself and the wedding ceremony at Broughton Hall (which is the most gorgeous ceremony room!) and the main reception at Eden could not have been more perfect.
Sara and Sam thanks so much for asking us to be a part of your awesome wedding celebrations.
Here are a few of our favourite layered story frames from the day.
