Life, Mischief and Personality. Hampton Manor Wedding Photography by York Place
We get asked quite a lot by couples and photographers alike, “what is the thing you most desire at weddings, – castles, beaches, sunsets…?” Truly for us the only two things we need at a wedding are space and people. We don’t care where the wedding takes place, the only thing we want is to capture the personality of the people and the characters present. Nothing posed, nothing staged, just the real moments, the genuine emotions, the sparks of conversation and the people themselves captured as beautifully as we can. People watching is perhaps our favourite thing at weddings and events – we love taking little snapshots of people’s lives and, in particular, capturing the kind of behaviour that just sums up their personalities and sharing those moments with our brides and grooms.
Sarah and Terry’s wedding in the stunning and open setting of the Hall and grounds of Hampton Manor was no exception. With plenty of mischief-makers amongst kids and adults alike we had such fun capturing all the action and sharing what they all got up to with the bride and groom after the wedding! With entertainment including giant card games, Croquet, connect four, Jenga, hoopla, a bouncy castle and an amazing play bus (not to mention a lively photo-booth taxi, two fantastic bands and an awesome DJ cameo from one of our former grooms) and just the most wonderful, lively bunch of people you could hope to spend a day with it’s easy to see why everyone had such a fantastic day!
We had an absolute ball photographing this wedding and below are just a few of our favourites.
