Why a documentary photography approach could be great for your same-sex wedding.

Same-Sex Wedding Photography by York Place Studios

Marriage: the union between two people in love.

Photographing the marriage of two people in love is a truly humbling experience and we’re honoured to be afforded the opportunity to capture such an important day for so many incredible couples. Love comes in all shapes and sizes and, over the course of our 12+ year history, we’ve been thrilled to witness and be a part of the rise firstly of civil partnerships and now (finally!) of same-sex weddings.

Over the years shooting same-sex wedding photography for gorgeous couples from around the world has provided us with some of the most emotional ceremonies, wildest parties and many of the purest and most beautiful moments we’ve experienced at any wedding. We’ve made some amazing friends along the way, been part of murder mysteries, guest DJ takeovers, gothic festivals, chic soirees, drag races and raucous dance-offs. We can’t wait to see what moments we’ll find on our next same-sex wedding photography adventure.

“Choosing York Place Studios as our wedding photographers was one of the best decisions we have ever made. From the moment we met with Dominique and Liam it became apparent that we had struck the jackpot. They are fantastic photographers and fantastic people, with a unique ability to make any couple feel relaxed and totally at ease with being themselves in front of the camera.”
