The Year That Was 2013
It is always difficult to articulate how wonderful our job is but this year it is almost impossible. It has been an incredible year for us as photographers and honestly we have loved every second and are so thankful to be able to call this our career. We have photographed weddings in post offices, theatres, castles, teepees, stately homes, experienced our first outdoor humanist ceremony, we have travelled across the country photographing so many extraordinary weddings that we have had to pinch ourselves for how lucky we have been. We have met so many wonderful people; our amazing couples, their guests, so many wedding photographers and videographers friends, make up artists, wedding planners, florists… the list just goes on and on!
This is our eighth year being a part of the wedding industry and personally for us we have seen it grow and strengthen and allow photographers and couples to have the photographs that they really want. You can now be as artistic and creative as you like and find the people who connect with and love your photographs so that you have the perfect match. We have expanded our little gang and now have an umbrella company with the addition of Alex and Matt (aka York Place Films) who make beautiful videos and it is so exciting to see them flourish! We are refurbishing our studio (finally!) and are looking forward to designing our perfect studio in January 2014 and making it a truly dynamic environment for us all to work, take photographs and welcome all of our fantastic clients when they come to visit!
It has been quite the year and huge thanks goes to our couples for making all this possible, for entrusting us with your memories and for all being flipping amazing people.
Here’s to 2014 – it has a lot to live up to.
