And before we knew it, 2018 had arrived! We are so excited about our plans for this year and the amazing weddings both in the UK and overseas we have coming up, not to mention the various speaking engagements already in the diary! One of the first of those plans and a great way to kick off our year will be sharing some of our thoughts and ideas at the inaugural Residency of the North! The line-up is fantastic and we know just how much hard work has gone into making it a truly amazing event for all photographers and an extraordinary opportunity to expand your skill set by looking beyond the bubble of your own photographic genre: something we passionately believe in.
Secondly we are also beyond thrilled to have been asked to speak at X-Weddings, an exciting new Fujifilm Wedding Photography conference taking place in the UK this year! It’s going to be a two-day event with talks from some of the world’s most highly acclaimed Fuji shooters! It is such an honour to be asked to feature and share our thoughts on our photography and how the Fuji X-Pro2 has helped set us free to shoot the way we’ve always wanted.
And now on to the first wedding blog of 2018, Emma and Andrew, and this gorgeous wedding is the perfect example of how the Fuji cameras have helped transform our way of shooting. The harsh sun light of a scorching hot day and the wild lights of the dance floor may not be every photographer’s dream but for us it’s just a joy to shoot and in fully embracing the conditions we try to really show not just how the day looked but how it felt to be there.
Speaking of which: The. Best. Party. Ever.
That title doesn’t come lightly; over the years we have had so many incredible experiences at wedding parties (and seen some pretty extraordinary sights!) but this supplants all that came before it. We hadn’t had a drop of alcohol yet we were completely engrossed in the party spirit – we very reluctantly left that night around 1.30am!
So below are just a few of our favourites, we hope you enjoy viewing them as much we did taking them.
