“Photography is Truth. And Cinema is Truth Twenty-Four Times A Second.”

WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY BY MATT THOMPSON & ALEX SHAW
Memories don’t stop at a single frame, the pace is fast flowing but each second is timeless. Memories are not silent but deafening, underscored by a melody of emotion. Memories are made in the little moments as much as the big, in the humour as well as the sentiment.
Wedding films should be an expansion of those memories. An extended moment captured in time, personal, intimate and real. They tell the other side of the photograph and explore the depths of the surrounding sounds. They offer a unique perspective, revealing the unseen and capturing the essence of the day. The laughter, the excitement, the Memories in Motion.
“Wow! Wow! Wow! Where do we start? We ADORE our feature film and have thoroughly enjoyed sharing it with our families over the weekend! We’ve all been in tears and fits of laughter reminiscing on our fabulous, unforgettable day! We really can’t thank you enough for creating such wonderful films for us! You’ve captured every single special moment and special person so that we’ll never forget a thing! We are so grateful for everything and for all your hard work and kindness! I know we’ve said it before- but you really are so very talented at what you do!”
THE YORK PLACE APPROACH TO WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY
Our approach to wedding videography is simple: we capture events as they happen without directing or affecting the action. Using small, compact cameras we like to blend in with the guests to experience the wedding just the way they do and capture the atmosphere the way it really felt to be there.
Every wedding we film is approached without preconceptions. We want every aspect of our wedding videos to truly reflect the personalities of our couples, from the style of the edit to the type of soundtrack we create. Our films are about people and every wedding video we create is unique to the people within it.
